The report also found that 9.5 million Americans, or every few days using two or more tobacco products every day; use of tobacco products among males was 25.2%, higher than 15.4% of women; aged 25 to 44 years old use of tobacco products the proportion was 23.3%, higher than 11.1% over 65 years old and older.

Brenda Fitzgerald, director of the US Center for Disease Control, said in a statement: "Smoking is an American disease and preventable cause of death in the primary, too many Americans because of smoking hurt."

Official data showed that smoking leads to an average of more than 480,000 American deaths each year, 16 million Americans are therefore ill. To this end, the US government in recent years adopted a series of tobacco control measures, including the requirement to reduce the nicotine content of cigarettes to non-addictive levels.
