Hong Kong Tai Tam Country Park
Tai Tam Country Park is located in the eastern part of Hong Kong Island; north of Jardine's Lookout, extended to post margin rolling hills south of the mountain area, bounded to Stanley Gap Road; west Wong Nai Chung Gap, east of Tai Tam Road. Park was established in 1977, covers an area of 1315 hectares, about one-fifth of the area of Hong Kong Island.
Park range includes four reservoirs, these reservoirs are the main source of water supply early on Hong Kong Island. Tai Tam Tai Tam Reservoir system includes a pond, Tai Tam Reservoir deputy, in Tai Tam Reservoir and Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir, built between 1889 and 1917, with a total capacity of 900 million cubic meters. In a quiet country park, you can still find some bunkers, ammunition and other war relics and wartime stoves. During World War II, British and Japanese troops had been fighting here.
Tai Tam Valley is the most abundant ecological resources of local Tai Tam Country Park, surrounded by more than a dozen here surrounded by mountains, namely, Violet Hill, Jardine's Lookout, Mount Butler Mount Parker and so on, all the high peaks of more than four hundred meters, which the most steep Mount Parker as much as five hundred and seven meters.
