Hong Kong Space Museum Astropark
Hong Kong Space Museum Astropark is a Hong Kong astronomical theme park, located in Sai Kung, New Territories, Chong Hing Water Sports Center on Xiba Island Reservoir, an area of about 1,200 square meters, by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of management. Park at a cost of HK $ 3 million to build, on January 30, 2010 officially opened.
Hong Kong park is divided into domains astronomical astronomical study area, the naked eye observation area and the telescope area three thematic areas. Park open around the clock, is Hong Kong's only a 24/7 Park.
Astronomical study area: shows eight Chinese ancient astronomical instruments (armillary sphere, star sundial, sundial month, Yang instrument, sundial, equatorial sundial, sundial horizon and positive program) replica, and a human sundial, for visitors through over his own shadow corresponding to the ground indicate that the time period; along with a pavilion in the park, is also available for viewing analog artificial starry sky or rain within their visitors if cloudy.
